How to calculate audio file size?
The size of an uncompressed or compressed audio file is primarily determined by its bitrate and duration.
File Size (KB) = (Bitrate (kbps) × Duration (seconds)) / 81
Bitrate: How much data is processed per second. Higher bitrates (e.g. 320 kbps) sound better but produce significantly larger files.
2
Duration: The total length of the audio track in seconds.
3
Division by 8: Since bitrate is measured in kilobits per second, we divide by 8 to convert to kilobytes.
